GL Holds Inspiring Semi-Annual General Meeting at Crossroads Hotel
On 10th and 11th July 2025, Greenlivelihoods (GL) hosted its Semi-Annual General Meeting at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe. The two-day gathering brought together staff and management to reflect on the organization’s progress halfway through the fiscal year, while charting the way forward for greater impact and team cohesion.
The meeting was anchored on key reflections including:
✅ Progress against recommendations and action points from the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
✅ Updates on project implementation across our various portfolios such as GROSS INCOME, BAMBOO, GAIN, BLEA, MEL, and GLICOMEX.
✅ A comprehensive review of policies, reporting structures, and the overall organizational culture.
Presentations were made by project teams and management, sparking vibrant discussions and feedback sessions. A key highlight was the “What has worked and areas of improvement” exercise, where staff shared insights into how they have performed, fostering openness and inclusivity in shaping GL’s next steps.
On the final day, Board Chair Mr. Mwendo Banda wrapped up the meeting with a powerful message that left staff energized and motivated. His call for high self-esteem and confidence resonated deeply, reminding everyone of their critical role in driving GL’s mission forward.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with Mr. Banda posing for photos with staff—a symbol of unity and shared purpose as we continue to innovate and transform lives through climate-smart agri-innovation.
