Who Are We

Greenlivelihoods is a youth-led registered local Non Governmental Organization in Malawi. Its Secretariat is in Lilongwe district. The organization, which officially started its operations in 2006 has a mission to drive innovative green development wind of change by empowering the relatively marginalized groups (specifically youth and women) with appropriate skills to address income and livelihoods poverty through implementation of demand driven sustainable livelihood interventions; youth unemployment through innovation incubation and skills development.

Rural food insecure households have increased access to adequate food income. Vulnerable groups participate in food security decision making processes at both local and district levels. Capacity of right bearers to adapt their livelihoods to climate variability and the impacts of climate change and to manage disasters increased through innovative business thinking models and skills development.
